Challenges

  • With the scale of operations, Prasol wanted a robust and cost-effective yet flexible, with ease of use, ERP solution to cover the business processes for “Process Industry” in its multi-locational & muti-division set up, with more than 150 concurrent users.
  • Being an Export house, Prasol wanted a complete solution for covering Export documentation, Large volume of Import, Cargo clearance processes, and Tracking Advanced Export License Utilisation. SAP Business One scored well overall ERP solutions in the market in terms of its Core application, user-friendly menus and navigation, flexibility to add user-defined additional fields and develop additional functionality to cater to business-specific requirements.

    • Batch Valuation to capture the cost of each production batch and track batch-wise inventory value.
    • Unit of measure conversion feature to handle various pack sizes in the sale process and inventory management.
    • EXIM automation (Export-Import Addon) :
      • Tracks the Purchase of Raw material and export against produced finished goods including the Advance and MEIS License
        utilization.
      • Duty calculation based on Incoterms has been customized.
      • Import Shipment and Cargo Clearance customized documents are included.
      • Various customized reports and export documentation are developed as per government rules and regulations.
    • Approval Automation: Approval processes are configured, in line with working styles. Documents sent for approval get added automatically once approved.
