Elite Industries is a manufacturer of LED, Electronic Lighting Fixtures, Architecture Design and Engineering Products. Elite
Industries is an OEM supplier to the lighting industry in India, supplying to large companies such as Bajaj Electricals, CEMA
lighting, CG Consumer and Electricals and many others. It also caters to the Indian market under brand-name liteplus.

• Elite Industries’s supplier base is local as well as outside India. Being the manufacturer of LED products, there are import duty concessions, which are applicable within the stipulated time of consumption.
• The end to end ERP solution would need to have complete traceability with the bifurcation of the local and imported materials used in the manufacture right from its supply inventory, production, testing and dispatch. Input materials need to be traceable with batch and serial numbers.
• Also, the automatic creation of serial numbers of finished products is required. Customers return from OEM customers also need tracking and validation up to the Finished product serial number.
• The ERP solution needs to be easy to operate with built-in checks and controls, stage-wise quality testing and automated proposal during dispatch, giving preference to FG produced with imported materials.
• Elite industries also require a facility for printing especially Import process documents, such as bank letter, form A1, imports advance payment, and annexure to customs duty payment.

The approach to the challenge was to keep things much simpler and flexible for the end-user. These required multiple rounds of deep discussion with the core team members to understand the minute details of the existing practice, its purpose and configuration possibilities of the same with the customization and development of add-ons.

• Proposing the Dispatch of Finished Goods involving imported raw materials if available at the time of selection of batch / serial numbers.
• Auto creation of the batch / serial with prefixed scheme practice by the Elite industries.

• As per the practice of Elite for Customer returns from OEM customer, FMS is developed to identify the already sold out finished goods serial / batch number with respect to the newly created batch / serial number of the finished goods ,treated like procurement from the OEM Customer .

The FMS help to auto calculate the various charges involving import duties on the purchase order.
