Cytech Coatings is a major manufacturer of all types of printing inks and resins, with a turnover of more than INR 35 Crores and a workforce of more than 75, it is a part of the Cytech group of companies located in India, Nigeria, UAE and Kenya. They have sales locally as well as export their products globally. Cytech Coatings Pvt. Ltd. is based at Sarigam in Gujarat.

• The main challenge has been inventory tracking at both plants and a centralized MRP, to optimize manufacturing and inventory levels.
• The current Financial Accounting has been working in a stand-alone mode and is not integrated with operational business processes.

The RPM Infotech team interacted with core team members from Cytech Coating to design the solution. Since inventory management and production planning was the main challenge, the team focused on cleansing master data, and up-to-date stock-tracking of inventory, BOM and MRP parameters.

The timeline was 3 months for implementation. Despite the challenging COVID-19 situation, RPM team worked with Cytech team at their plant site to implement the project in time.

• RPM Infotech team conducted detailed business blueprinting with process flow diagrams, its mapping in the SAP B1 solution and end-user hand-holding training at the client site.
• Additional validations/controls in the production process are set for adherence to material usage as per the bill of materials.
• Approval processes are set for deviation management.
• The sales team gets alerts when production is completed which has helped with proper dispatch planning.
• The MRP process is established to help Cytech to manage the supply chain and excess inventory.
